Meet Our Expert Eye Doctors

Dr. Edward J. Moylan

Dr. Moylan was born right here on Long Island. He grew up in Smithtown where he attended St. Anthony’s H.S. Having an interest in math and science, Dr. Moylan pursued an engineering degree at Manhattan College; first in bio-mechanical engineering, then eventually earning a degree in chemical engineering. After undergraduate studies Dr. Moylan decided to pursue a career in the healthcare field. He attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry, earning a degree in Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Moylan has developed a strong interest in the medical aspects of optometry and practices full scope primary eye care. He has been practicing in the Port Jefferson area for over 25 years and loves the long-term relationships he has developed with his patients over the years. He loves his staff, and it shows with the warm and friendly environment in the practice.

Dr. Moylan is happily married to his wife, Christina, with two beautiful children, Kristina and Maggie. While not at work, Dr. Moylan’s interests include golf, sailing, mountain biking, and skiing.

Dr. Julie DeMartini

Dr. DeMartini is from the south shore of Long Island. She graduated from SUNY Binghamton in 2009 with a BA in Biology and then went on to graduate from SUNY College of Optometry in 2012. Following graduation she went on to pursue a residency at the Northport VAMC specializing in primary care and vision rehabilitation. She has been working at North Shore Advanced Eye Care since 2013 and loves helping her patients see better and addressing their individual needs.

In her spare time, Dr. DeMartini enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and children.

Dr. Justin Kraushaar

Justin Kraushaar grew up in Wading River and studied biology at Wagner College. He then went on to graduate from the SUNY College of Optometry in Manhattan. During his time in optometry school, he completed a 6 month ocular disease externship at the VA Hospital in Philadelphia before returning to Long Island to practice.

Dr. Kraushaar’s passions outside the office include playing oboe in the Riverhead concert band and spending time on the golf course.

Our Staff

Rachel Landi

Rachel Landi is a New York State Licensed Optician. Rachel received her degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing in 1997. For the past 28 years, Rachel has worked as a licensed optician in California, the East End of Long Island, and New York City. Rachel truly enjoys helping her patients see better and finding them the perfect pair of eyeglasses. She enjoys vegetarian cooking and spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter.

Sharon Picon

Sharon Picon is a New York State Licensed Optician. She completed her licensure for Ophthalmic Dispensing in 2015 after apprenticing for several years. She grew up on the South Shore of Long Island and has worked in various settings in order to broaden her knowledge in the field. She takes great joy in finding the perfect style frame for each patient, and in solving complex issues. In her spare time, she loves being outdoors with her two sons, listening to music, and weight training.
